Luke Duffley was born in 1811 in Connemara, County Galway, Ireland. He married Catherine McGill on May 14, 1837, at St. Malachy's Church. He died April 30, 1895, in Golden Grove, New Brunswick, Canada. They had ten children: Anne Duffley, Mary Elizabeth Duffley, Bridget Duffley, William Duffley, Catherine Ellen Duffley, Margaret Duffley, Amy Duffley, Edmund Duffley, Ellen Duffley, George Eugene Duffley.

Luke Duffley and Catherine McGill were the parents of Bridget Duffley, who married Michael Quinlan. Among their children was an Edward Quinlan. He married Mary Teresa Sloan, and they had many children, among them, Mildred Quinlan, who married my grandfather, Francis Manus McDade, and they had 6 children, among them Joan McDade. I was on the wring path for a while, reading "Duffley" ad "Duffy. Thanks for this.
